Same job as the standard SmartShunt — measuring exactly what goes into and out of your house battery and reporting a true state of charge to your phone — but with twice the current capacity and a sealed enclosure.

Why 1000 amps

A 3,000W inverter at full load pulls around 250 amps continuous from a 12V bank. A winch run off the house battery can pull 400 amps or more in a hard pull. If either of those is in your build, a 500A shunt is working too close to its limit and you want this one.

Why IP65

The shunt has to sit in the negative battery cable, which means it lives wherever the battery lives. On a lot of builds that is a vented box, an under-body tray, a truck bed or a trailer tongue — places that see water and grit. IP65 sealing means it can go there without a separate enclosure.

What it tells you

Battery percentage, voltage, live current in or out, and time remaining at the current draw. Plus history — deepest discharge, cycle count, average depth of discharge — which is how you find out whether the bank is sized right for how you actually use it.
