A pure inverter, nothing else. If your alternator charging and solar are already handled by an Orion XS and a SmartSolar, you do not need another battery charger bolted to the wall - you need AC power, and this is the cleanest way to get it.

6000W surge is the number that matters. Induction hobs, compressors and anything with a motor draw far more at startup than they do running. The Phoenix will hand over double its continuous rating briefly, which is what stops an inverter shutting down the moment a load kicks in.

Read this before you order. The Phoenix 12/3000 is hardwire in and hardwire out - there is no outlet on the case and no GFCI. You are wiring it into an AC panel or to your own GFCI outlet. That is normal for a built-in system and wrong for anyone wanting to plug a hob straight into the inverter. If you want an outlet on the unit, look at the smaller Phoenix models or a MultiPlus instead.

What it asks of the battery. At 12V, 1800W of cooking is around 155 amps of DC draw. That means lithium, heavy cable on short runs, and a properly sized fuse. The inverter is the easy part of this install; the cable and fusing are where the thought goes.
