Built for rigs running a 24V starter system — expedition trucks, some commercial chassis and heavier overland platforms — that need to charge a 12V auxiliary bank. The Orion XS 1400 takes 24V from the alternator and delivers a proper regulated 12V charge to the house battery while you drive.

Why a converter is not enough

A plain 24V-to-12V converter gives you 12V power, but it does not charge a battery correctly. A battery wants a multi-stage profile — bulk, absorption, float — at voltages matched to its chemistry. Feed a lithium or AGM bank a flat converted voltage and you will either never fill it or slowly cook it. This unit charges properly.

Setup and monitoring

Everything through VictronConnect over Bluetooth: battery chemistry, charge profile, live input and output current, voltage and temperature. Adaptive charging adjusts as the battery fills.
