Pure sine output means it runs the sensitive loads a cheaper modified sine unit will not: CPAP machines, induction plates, variable-speed tools, anything with a switching power supply. A kilowatt covers a fridge plus laptops plus camera and tool chargers comfortably; it will not run a microwave and a kettle together.
