Turns 12V battery power into 120V household AC so you can run normal plug-in equipment from the vehicle. 800 watts covers a laptop, camera batteries, a blender, a small power tool charger, or a CPAP overnight.

Pure sine wave matters more than people expect

Cheap inverters produce a modified square wave, which many devices tolerate and some do not. Laptop power supplies run hot on it. Anything with an AC motor — a fan, a small compressor, a mixer — runs rough, noisy and inefficient. Medical equipment like a CPAP often will not run on it at all, and some devices are damaged by it over time.

Pure sine wave is the same waveform you get from a wall socket. Everything behaves the way it does at home.

Sizing honestly

800W is the continuous rating. It handles brief surges above that, which matters because motors draw several times their running current at startup. What it will not do is run a microwave, a kettle, an air fryer or a hair dryer — those want 1,500W or more, and a bigger battery bank to feed them.

Be realistic about the battery too. 800W at 12V is around 70 amps. Run that for an hour and you have taken 70Ah out of your bank, which is most of a 100Ah battery.

Tell us what you want to run

Inverter sizing goes wrong more often than anything else in a 12V build. Send us the list of what you want to plug in and we will tell you what size you actually need — and whether your battery bank can feed it.
