A 3000W inverter gets mounted where the heavy cable can reach the battery, which is usually somewhere inconvenient — under a seat, in a cargo bay, behind a panel. This is the remote panel that puts the switch and the status lights somewhere you can actually get at.
Check the fit before you order: this is the remote for the PST-3000 series. The smaller PST-600 and PST-1000 inverters use the RC-15A instead, which is a different part.
