This is a day bag, and it is worth being clear about that. Plano's 3500, 3600 and 3700 are box sizes, not bag sizes. The 3500 box is the small one, around 9 x 5 inches, and this bag holds a couple of them plus the essentials. It is for a morning on the bank, a kayak where space is the constraint, or a second bag that stays in the truck with a specific setup in it.

If you are buying your only tackle bag, buy the 3600 instead. It costs five dollars more, holds a genuinely useful amount, and you will not outgrow it in a season. People who buy the 3500 as their main bag usually buy a second bag within a few months.

What it does have is the same moulded waterproof base as the rest of the Weekend line — a hard tray rather than coated cloth — so it can sit on a wet dock or a muddy bank without wicking through. Die-cut tool sleeves inside, slip pockets outside.
