This is the top of Plano's Guide Series, and it is a lot of bag. Six 3700-series StowAway boxes live inside, a seventh straps to the lid under a bungee on a raised non-slip pad, and the base sits on rubber feet so the bottom of the bag is never the thing soaking up water on a dock or a tailgate.

What makes it worth the money over a cheaper bag is the rail system. There are 34 attachment points plus tie-down slots moulded around the outside, so pliers, grippers, a scale, a bottle — whatever you reach for constantly — hang where you can see them instead of buried in a pocket. The side pockets collapse flat when you are not using them, which matters when the bag has to share a back seat or a drawer with everything else.

Be honest about how much you carry. If you fish with two or three boxes, this bag is more than you need and you will be hauling empty volume around. The smaller Guide Series bags or the Weekend backpack do that job for a lot less. Buy this one if you genuinely run five or more boxes, or if you want one bag that handles a full season of changing conditions without repacking.
