A full-size PEVA poncho at 52 × 80 in — big enough to go over a loaded pack, which is what separates a useful poncho from a useless one. The seams are electronically welded rather than stitched, which Liberty Mountain describes as totally waterproof, and the hems are double thick with two snaps on each side so you can close it up in wind.

The reinforced hems and the snaps mean this is built to be used more than once. And at 52 × 80 in it doubles as a groundsheet, a lean-to or a windbreak.

Material thickness is not published, so we cannot tell you exactly how heavy-duty it is. The welded seams and reinforced hems put it well above a disposable emergency poncho, but Liberty Mountain does not label it either way.

Liberty Mountain publishes no consumer warranty for the Peregrine line, so we make no warranty claim here. If a product arrives faulty, contact us and we will deal with it.
