A soft LDPE squeeze bottle with a captive spout cap — the cap stays tethered to the bottle instead of disappearing into the dirt, and the manufacturer notes it stays in place when the bottle is squeezed so it will not accidentally dispense. Squeeze gently and it gives you a drop at a time, one-handed.

The honest use case for an overland vehicle: thread locker, penetrating oil, chain lube, cutting fluid, eye wash, cleaning solution, tincture — anything you want to place precisely rather than pour.

The material is LDPE, not HDPE — the soft, squeezable polyethylene, which is the whole point of a drop bottle. We are stating it because these get listed as HDPE alongside the rigid bottles, and the two behave quite differently.

No leakproof claim, and we are not going to imply one. The manufacturer never uses the word anywhere in this family. The captive cap will not fall off; that is a different promise from a seal. Carry these upright.

What the manufacturer does and does not publish

This is lab-quality bottle stock — the same molding Nalgene supplies to laboratories, which is exactly why it is good for the field. Being honest about the data that comes with it: the manufacturer publishes the resin, the capacity, the closure size and the dimensions, and lists compliance with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 and USP Class VI. It does not publish a country of origin, an upper temperature limit, or a BPA statement for this line. The BPA-free language you will see on Nalgene’s consumer bottles is a claim about those bottles, and we are not going to borrow it for this one. If any of those three points decides the purchase for you, ask us first and we will put the question to the supplier.
