A 12-piece cutlery set: 4 tablespoons, 4 forks and 4 knives — four full flatware place settings. 2.8 x 2.8 x 8.5 in. Serves 4.

Full-length stainless steel tang construction, which is GSI's own phrasing and the thing that separates real cutlery from camp cutlery. The steel runs the entire length of the handle rather than stopping where it is hidden. Nothing works loose and nothing snaps at the join.

This is table cutlery that happens to live outdoors. It belongs with the Pioneer enamelware plates and pint glasses — same line, same idea: things that look right on a table and survive a truck.

Four settings in a block under three inches square is a sensible way to carry cutlery for a family without a drawer's worth of loose metal.

Hand wash with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
