Fourteen cups is the one for a camp with people in it. One brew on the fire and everybody has a cup, which is the only way coffee works for a group in the morning.

18/8 heavy-gauge stainless steel, with marine-grade 18/8 componentry and welds. For stove top or campfire.

The glass PercView knob is the feature. You can watch the coffee colour coming up through the dome instead of guessing, which is the entire skill of percolating. Pull it when the colour is right.

Percolating is the method that suits a fire. There is nothing to break, no filter to carry, no plunger to clog, and it does not care whether your heat is a gas ring or a bed of coals.

Grind coarse — a percolator recirculates water through the grounds, so anything fine turns bitter and ends up in the cup.

Do not overfill it and do not let it dry boil. GSI's warning, and a dry-boiled percolator is a ruined percolator.

On "cups": GSI do not publish a fluid-ounce equivalent for their cup sizes, and a percolator "cup" is traditionally smaller than a mug. We are not going to invent a number — ask us before you order if the exact capacity decides it.
