Forged, not stamped. Stamped camp cutlery bends when you use the fork on something that resists. Forged steel has weight and stiffness and feels like cutlery from a drawer rather than from a packet.

Fire-proof matters more than it sounds. Camp cutlery gets left on a hot pan or a grill rim. Steel does not care; plastic melts and aluminium discolours.

Non-reactive means no metallic taste and nothing picked up from acidic food.

The lanyard keeps the three together, which is the whole problem with camp cutlery.

Hand wash with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
