Two 6 mm anodized aluminium carabiners with spring-loaded closures.

Safe working load: 20 kg (44 lb) — Coghlan's states it, which most accessory clips at this price do not. Knowing the number is the difference between using one sensibly and guessing.

For keeping keys, a water bottle, a headlamp or a tool attached to a belt or a pack strap instead of loose in the bottom of it.

Anodized rather than bare aluminium, so it does not chalk up white and mark your hands or your gear.

Not for climbing. Not for anything that holds a person. These are accessory clips. A certified climbing carabiner is rated to about 20 kN — roughly 4,500 lb — and carries that rating stamped on its spine. These are rated in tens of pounds. The gap is not a margin, it is two different objects that happen to look alike. Clip gear with them; never clip yourself, a hammock, a swing or a load above anyone.

A note on quantity: Coghlan's describes this as a two-pack in the product text but their specification line reads "Single". We list it as the two-pack they describe. Ask us first if you are ordering a quantity that depends on it.
