Coghlan’s Backpacker’s Trowel
$3.49
A three-dollar trowel. Dig the hole and leave the campsite the way you found it.
A lightweight plastic trowel for digging a cat hole.
Leave No Trace means burying human waste six to eight inches down, and that means carrying something to dig with. This is the standard answer: light, cheap, and it does not rust or bend.
Keep it in the same bag as the toilet paper so you never have to go looking for it.
Also useful for digging out a stove pit or scraping a tent pad level.
