A hex crimp tool for heavy-gauge lugs, 8 AWG through 4/0. The hex die compresses the barrel on all sides at once, giving a tighter, lower-resistance termination than a single-point crimp — and one that looks right, which matters when an inspector or a buyer is looking at your work.
On a 3000W inverter run the crimp is the weakest point in the circuit. A hammer-and-punch lug on 4/0 cable will carry current until it warms up, loosens and starts cooking the terminal. This is the tool that prevents that.
