1200 watts is the step where the inverter changes character. At 800W you are charging devices and running small electronics. At 1200W a lot of ordinary household equipment comes into range — a coffee grinder, a decent power tool charger, a small induction burner on its low setting, a full-size laptop plus monitor.

What it still will not do

A microwave, a kettle, a hair dryer or an air fryer generally wants 1,500W and up. Be honest about what you plan to plug in, because an undersized inverter that trips under load is more annoying than no inverter at all.

The battery is the real constraint

1200W at 12V is roughly 100 amps of draw. A 100Ah lithium bank would be flat in about an hour at full output, and lead-acid would be damaged well before that. If you want to use the full 1200W for more than a few minutes at a time, you need a 200Ah+ lithium bank and cable sized to carry 100 amps without voltage drop.

GFCI and VE.Direct

Integrated ground fault protection on the AC outlet, which is the right answer in a vehicle where moisture and vibration are constants. VE.Direct port lets it report into a GX device or Cerbo alongside your solar and battery monitoring.

Before you order

Send us your battery bank size and the list of what you want to run. Inverter and battery have to be sized together, and we would rather tell you to buy a smaller inverter than sell you one your bank cannot feed.
