Walls turn an awning into a room. Shade is only half the problem on a long trip — wind carries dust through camp, afternoon sun comes in sideways under the canopy, and rain blows in no matter how well you pitched it. Zipping walls onto the awning gives you an enclosed space you can cook in, change in, and sit in when the weather turns.

On a straight awning the side walls stop the wind running the length of the canopy. Fit one against the prevailing weather, or one at each end for a properly closed-in space.

The XD fabric carries a blackout coating that blocks light rather than diffusing it, so an enclosed XD room stays genuinely dark and noticeably cooler than a grey HD one — which matters most if you are trying to sleep past sunrise or get out of real heat in the middle of the day.

Check the model before ordering. The 2.0 and 2.5 walls are different sizes and are not interchangeable — if you are unsure which awning you have, send us the model name off the travel cover.
