Trangia’s own line about this is the best description of it: “tong, handle, saucepan grip — this product is known by many names!” It is the handle that comes with a storm cooker, and it is the first thing people lose.

A wool sleeve is made for it, which stops it getting too hot to hold. We stock that too.

Specifications

• Weight 48 g (1.69 oz)
• Length 128 mm (5.04 in)
• Fits all series per Trangia
• Made in Sweden
• Material — not published by Trangia

Two honest gaps. Trangia publish no material for this part — there is no material row on their page at all. And their fitment field says simply “all,” with no list of which pots. If you are matching it to something unusual, ask us.

Care

Not dishwasher safe, and this is Trangia’s own position rather than ours: “the chemicals used in dishwasher detergent destroy the aluminum’s surface.” Hand wash with washing-up liquid and a brush or soft sponge. For stubborn residue Trangia permit steel wool or a scouring pad — on everything except non-stick.

Do not store food in the pots, and do not boil dry: Trangia warn that “without food or liquid, it can melt.” Keep plastic parts away from the flame.

Induction and oven use are not published by Trangia, for any of their cookware, so we are not going to claim either.

Made in Sweden, at Trangia’s factory in Trångsviken.
