The Escape Lite Bivy — a heat-reflective emergency shelter in a breathable fabric.

Condensation is the quiet problem with cheap emergency shelters. A sealed mylar bag holds your heat and also holds every bit of moisture you give off, and after a few hours you are lying in a wet bag, which is worse than no bag.

Breathable fabric lets that moisture out while still reflecting heat back. That is what you are paying the extra for, and on a night longer than a couple of hours it is the difference between the shelter working and the shelter making things worse.

Lighter and more packable than the full Escape Bivvy, and a sensible middle choice.
