Seven inches is the tallest of the three and exists for the awkward setups — clearing a high cab, a raised tonneau, or a cargo box that sits alongside the tent on the same rack.

Bear in mind what the height costs you: every inch of riser is an inch more overall vehicle height to remember at garages and drive-throughs, and a little more leverage on the rack mounts. Take the shortest riser that actually solves your clearance problem.
