Rapala's top-tier pliers. Tungsten carbide cutters go through braid cleanly instead of fraying it, and they will cut split rings and light wire without rolling the edge.

Braid is the thing that kills cheap pliers. If your cutters crush rather than shear, every leader you tie starts with a mashed end that will not pass through a knot properly.
