This is the big one: a 78 × 52 in self-inflating double pad, 4 in thick, with an R-value of 6.2. That R-value is four-season territory, and at 52 in wide it is a genuine double rather than two singles stuck together.

Self-inflating means you open the valve and most of the work happens on its own. At 12 lb 12 oz this is vehicle camping gear, not backpacking gear — which, in a roof tent or the back of a truck, is exactly the right trade.

Liberty Mountain does not publish the insulation type or the valve design for the Monarch.

About the R-value: Liberty Mountain publishes this as a bare number. ASTM F3340 testing — the industry standard that makes R-values comparable between brands — is not claimed for Peregrine pads, so treat this as the maker’s own figure rather than a certified one.

Liberty Mountain publishes no consumer warranty for the Peregrine line, so we make no warranty claim here. If a product arrives faulty, contact us and we will deal with it.
