Rear jacks stabilise the trailer once it is unhitched, which matters far more on a camping trailer than a utility one — every time somebody climbs in, opens the tailgate or moves around inside, an unsupported trailer rocks on its suspension.

They also let you level the trailer on uneven ground, which is the difference between sleeping well and sleeping against one wall.

Most people need two. We list them as a pair as well, which costs less than two singles.
