Why this kit

Sunset in the Sierras comes just after 4:30 in December. Most winter trail runs finish in the dark, and a stock headlight aimed at a snow-covered two-track is not much help.

The part people get wrong is the wiring. A light bar on its own is half a purchase. Buy the bar without the harness and the switch and the box sits in the garage until the next parts order shows up.

What's in the kit

• RIGID SR-Series PRO 10 Inch LED Light Bar, Spot/Flood Combo — spot optics for distance, flood for the ditch line, in one housing. RIGID builds these in Arizona and backs them with a limited lifetime warranty.
• Wiring Harness for 6" and 10" SR-Series bars — relay, fuse and connectors, sized for this bar.
• 3-Position Rocker Switch, red — a real switch in the dash instead of a toggle zip-tied under it.

Before you buy

Check where you plan to mount it. A 10-inch bar fits most bumpers, roof racks and A-pillar positions, but brackets are vehicle specific and are not included. Tell us your year, make and model and we'll point you at the right mount, or tell you if a different size fits better.

Also check your local rules on auxiliary lighting. In California, off-road lights have to be covered on the highway.
