The extended-pole version of the HD Nomadic 180, built for high-roof vehicles — a tall van, a truck with a bed rack and a camper shell, or any build where the awning mounts high enough that standard support poles will not reach the ground at a usable angle.

Same half-circle canopy as the standard 180: shade down the side and around the rear corner to the tailgate. The difference is the legs. Standard poles on a tall vehicle either come up short or force the canopy into a steep pitch that sheds shade instead of holding it. The extended poles let the awning open flat where it should.

If your roof line is around standard height, the regular 180 is the cheaper and better choice — extended poles on a low mount just leave you with extra pole to manage.
