A 13.3 inch tool made of welded steel that does one job properly: lifting a hot Dutch oven lid with coals sitting on top of it, without tipping them into your dinner and without putting your hand over the fire. The hooked end takes a secure grip on the lid handle, and the angled, extended grip gives you the leverage to bring the lid up level.

If you are cooking in a Dutch oven over coals, this is not an accessory, it is the thing that makes it practical. Pliers and a stick both work until the day they don't.
