Made for exactly one job. 1.75 fluid ounces — a double shot — in high-grade 18/8 stainless with a polished finish, built double-walled so, in GSI's words, it “delivers a piping hot shot of espresso coffee while not burning your lips.” 2.8 x 2.3 x 1.7 inches.

It is the natural companion to the MiniEspresso Set and the Moka Espresso Pot, both of which we carry. Espresso out of a thin camp mug goes cold in about ninety seconds; out of this it does not.

Double-walled, not vacuum insulated. GSI claim the first and not the second, and we are not going to upgrade their claim for them. The double wall is an air gap — plenty for a shot of espresso, not the same thing as a vacuum flask.

This is also the only piece in GSI's drinkware range where they publish the stainless grade. Everything else in the line is described simply as stainless.

Care

Hand wash with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly; avoid abrasive cleaners. GSI do not state that any of their drinkware is dishwasher safe — every piece in the range carries the same hand-wash instruction. Hand wash it.
