Washing up outdoors is the worst job in camping and this is the tool that shortens it. Burnt-on food comes off a pan with a hard edge and almost no water — which matters when water is something you carried in.

It is hard enough to scrape and soft enough not to score the pan. That is the whole trick, and it is why a scraper beats a knife, a fork or a steel scourer on any coated or anodised surface.

Small enough to live in a pot or a pocket of the camp box, so it is there when the pan is.

GSI list the material inconsistently — high-temperature silicone with Nylon 6-6 in their features, and Nylon 6-6 with TPU in their materials. We have claimed neither.

Hand wash with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
