One bag, a whole camp kitchen. The Medium set gives you a 3 liter and a 2 liter pot, an 8-inch frypan, two nylon strainer lids, a dished cutting board for prep, a folding pot handle, and a welded stuff sack that doubles as a sink for washing up. Everything nests: packed, the set is 9.1 x 9.1 x 5.4 inches and weighs 2 lb 10 oz.

The details that matter in use: the strainer lids are crush-proof and heat-resistant, so you can drain pasta without a separate colander; the one folding handle serves every piece, so there are no loose handles rolling around the box; and the stuff sack being a wash basin means you are not carrying a tub. Non-stick ceramic, nylon 6-6 and silicone.

Small (2 L + 1.5 L pots, 8 in. pan) and Large (5 L + 3 L pots, 9 in. pan) versions of this set also exist. Ask us and we will price whichever size fits your group.

Limits worth knowing before you buy

GSI is specific: not for use with microwave ovens, conventional ovens or open campfires, and the pots and strainer lids are for stovetop use only. Do not use a strainer lid with hot oil or grease, and do not use it when frying. The gripper can get hot, and the handle must never go in direct flame. Do not let a pot boil dry and do not cool it rapidly. Use only heat-proof nylon or silicone utensils with the non-stick surfaces, hand wash with warm water and mild detergent using non-abrasive cloths, and dry everything completely before packing. GSI also notes the set is not meant for long-term storage of food or liquids, and that a crazed or fractured component should be retired and recycled.

One honest note on the coating

GSI's materials listing describes the Bugaboo non-stick as a ceramic coating, while some of their own product copy elsewhere in the Bugaboo line still refers to Teflon®. Those two things cannot both be true, and we are not going to guess. If PTFE-free is specifically what you are shopping for, contact us before you order and we will chase a written answer out of GSI first.
