The 10-inch Bugaboo weighs 17.7 ounces and packs down to 11.1 x 10.6 x 2.8 inches, because the SureLock handle folds in against the pan. Locked out, it gives you a stable grip over a stove top or a grill. Non-stick coated aluminum, stainless steel and silicone.

Ten inches is the useful size for two to three people — a proper breakfast, not a one-egg pan. It is a little over a pound, which puts it in a different class from the cast iron pan it replaces.

Limits worth knowing before you buy

GSI is specific about this one: not for use with microwave ovens, conventional ovens or open campfires. This is camp-stove and grill cookware, not fire cookware. Do not let it boil dry, and do not try to cool it quickly — no cold water into a hot pan. Use nylon or silicone utensils only; metal will cut the non-stick surface. Hand wash with warm water and mild detergent, non-abrasive cloths only, and dry it fully before packing.

One honest note on the coating

GSI's materials listing describes this as a ceramic non-stick coating over aluminum, while some of their own product copy for the same pans still refers to Teflon®. Those two things cannot both be true, and we are not going to guess which one is.
