Evernew Ultralight Aluminum Pan 14 cm — Titanium Plasma Coating

$68.99

A 14 cm non-stick aluminum frying pan with a folding handle. 115 g (4.05 oz).

SKU: 811033 Categories: , Brand:

A 14 cm frying pan weighing 115 g (4.05 oz). The body is Evernew’s Dura-Lite aluminum — thin, hard and a far better heat conductor than titanium, which is exactly what you want in a frying pan where hot spots burn food. The titanium plasma coating is what makes it non-stick.

The handle folds under the pan for storage and locks with a sliding bar in use. The base is machined in a honeycomb pattern.

What “titanium plasma coating” actually means here

This needs saying clearly, because the name invites the wrong conclusion. The pan body is aluminum, not titanium. Evernew publish the material as “Aluminium (Titanium plasma coating)” — a hard, thin aluminum they call Dura-Lite, with a titanium-based surface treatment applied to it. Evernew do claim the coating is non-stick, and describe it as having “excellent durability” and lasting longer than sprayed coatings.

This is a different system from the silicone-ceramic non-stick on Evernew’s titanium pots, and the two should not be confused. Evernew publish no PFOA or PFAS statement and no heat limit for this line specifically, so we are not carrying their titanium-cookware claims across to it.

Where these numbers come from, honestly. Evernew run a Japanese catalog and a US catalog that use different part numbers for the same product, and they have retired a third older set. The part number this item is sold under is no longer live on Evernew’s site. The specifications above are Evernew’s published figures for ECA381, the current product that replaced it — the dimensions and weights match the older figures to within a few grams. We are showing you that rather than presenting a dead part number’s specs as if they were still published.

Evernew also sell a matching lid for the 14 cm and 20 cm sizes, and an X-Pac carry case in every size — we stock the cases. We are not currently selling the lids, because the material claim on them does not match what Evernew publish for their current equivalents and we would rather ask than guess.

One thing Evernew do not publish, for anything in their range: a direct-flame rating. Their only heat guidance is to use a lower heat source so food does not burn and stick. So we are not going to tell you this is rated for an open fire. On a camp stove with a moderate flame it is exactly what it was designed for.

Warranty

Evernew offer a one-year limited warranty. Not a lifetime guarantee — we mention it because several brands in this category do offer one and it would be easy to assume.

Made in South Korea. Worth stating plainly, because Evernew is a Japanese brand and most of their titanium is Japanese-made — but this aluminum pan line is not, and Evernew publish that themselves.
