Water purification tablets that treat questionable water for drinking.

Everything about a trip gets worse without water, and a filter is a mechanical thing that can clog, freeze or get left on a tailgate. Tablets have nothing to break.

This is backup, not a primary system — the role is the same as a spare tyre. It lives in the kit, weighs nothing, and is there the day the main plan fails.

Follow the contact time on the package. The tablets need time to work and cold water needs longer.

Belongs in the vehicle kit, the pack, and the house earthquake box.
