A camp grill — a steel cooking grate on folding legs that stands over a fire.

Many campsites have a fire ring and no grate, or a grate so rusted you would not put food on it. This is the one you bring.

Folding legs set the grate at a working height above the coals, so you can control heat by moving food rather than rebuilding the fire.

Folds flat for the drive. Expect it to get black — that is a grill doing its job.
