Nalgene 24 oz FreshFlow Straw Water Bottle — Blue Aqua
$18.99
A 24 oz Tritan Renew bottle with a two-piece removable straw and three ways to drink.
FreshFlow is Nalgene’s 2026 straw cap, and the design argument behind it is cleaning. The straw is two pieces that come apart and go in the dishwasher — Nalgene’s point is that there are no complicated internal parts and no small crevices or hard-to-reach spots, which is where every other straw bottle eventually goes wrong.
Three ways to drink, in Nalgene’s words: sip through the straw, pull the straw out and chug from the wide mouth, or drink from the chute-style spout.

Two places where Nalgene’s own data is untidy, and you should know before you order. The weight figure above appears on Nalgene’s page in a field labeled “Width” — there is no weight field at all. It matches the 24 oz On-The-Fly exactly, so it is almost certainly the weight, but we are flagging it rather than presenting it as a clean spec. And on origin, the product page says “China, USA” while Nalgene’s own launch announcement says the bottle is sourced and manufactured in the United States. We cannot reconcile those two, so we are not making an origin claim on this model.
The FreshFlow cap is not sold separately by Nalgene, so there is no published compatibility list for it. Nalgene’s launch announcement describes it as interchangeable across their 24 and 32 oz wide-mouth bottles — and then says 32 oz only two paragraphs later. Treat it as a 63 mm wide-mouth cap and ask us if the exact fit matters.
About Nalgene Sustain and Tritan Renew
Sustain is Nalgene’s name for bottles molded in Tritan Renew, a copolyester that Nalgene describes as made with up to 50% certified recycled content. We quote that “up to” deliberately, because it is Nalgene’s own wording. The resin maker, Eastman, produces it by breaking plastic waste back down into the chemical building blocks of new plastic and accounting for the recycled share across production rather than tracing it to one individual bottle. That is how the certification works, and we would rather say so than imply something it does not cover.
Nalgene states in its FAQ that all of its bottles are free of BPA, BPS, BPF and phthalates.
Care
Dishwasher safe. Nalgene recommends the top rack, away from the heating element; if the bottle is too tall for the top rack, the bottom rack is fine on a high-temperature sanitizing cycle.
Hot liquids: Nalgene rates Tritan Renew for hot liquids including boiling water up to 212°F (100°C) in everyday use. You pour boiling water into the bottle; you never boil water in it, and these bottles are not made for direct heat or open flame. Nalgene asks you to wait a few seconds after pouring before screwing the lid down.
Freezing: allowed, but fill only about two-thirds so the contents can expand.
Lifetime guarantee
Nalgene covers functional damage — cracks, breaks, broken components from normal intended use — under a Lifetime Guarantee. It excludes cosmetic damage such as scratches, nicks and worn printing, excludes lost or stolen items, and excludes Epic filtration products, which Nalgene routes to Epic Water Filters. Nalgene also states that claims are subject to review and may be rejected. Claims go through Nalgene with a photo and proof of purchase; they ask for 14 to 21 days.
